Yes, qualified lifeguards will be on duty for the entire event to ensure a safe swimming environment.

Is the event free?

Yes! Entry, activities and food are all completely free, thanks to funding from the NSW Government and support from the Glen Innes Severn Council

Who can attend the event?

This event is open to young people ages 12 - 24 only.

Do young people need to follow a Code of Conduct?

Yes. All attendees must follow the Glen Innes Aquatic Centres Code of Conduct and event behaviour expectations to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

Do parents need to stay at the event?

No. This is a fully supervised event. Parents and guardians are welcome to drop young people off and return at the end of the event.

What happens if my young person is unwell or wants to leave early?

Accepted Answer

If a young person feels unwell, distressed, or wishes to leave early, a staff member will contact their parent or guardian to arrange early collection.

What should young people bring?

Participants should bring: Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, and a water bottle. All other essentials, such as food, music, inflatables, and supervision, are provided

Is transport provided to and from Emmaville?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a supervised return bus service will transport young people from Glen Innes to Emmaville and back. Seats must be booked in advance through the event registration.

Do young people need a consent form to board the bus?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a signed parental/guardian consent form is required for both bus travel and event entry. Young people cannot board the bus without completing a physical consent form. Consent forms can be collected from The Youth Booth - 152 Wentworth Street, or emailed upon request when making a booking.

Can young people make their own way to Emmaville instead of using the bus?

Yes, young people may attend independently if dropped off by a parent/guardian. They must still bring a signed consent form for entry.

Can a young person leave the event early or be dropped off elsewhere?

Accepted Answer

No, young people must remain with the event group for safety. If they need to leave early, they must be collected in person by a parent/guardian at the event location.
