Emma Straub, author of THIS TIME TOMORROW - an in-person ticketed event
Event Information
About this event
Friends of the Elm Grove Library and Boswell Book Company present an Elm Grove Reads event with New York Times bestselling author Emma Straub for her latest, This Time Tomorrow. In conversation with Noah Weckwerth of the Elm Grove Public Library. This event will take place at the Elm Grove Woman’s Club at 13885 Watertown Plank Road.
On the eve of her fortieth birthday, Alice’s life isn’t terrible. But something is missing. When Alice wakes up the next morning somehow back in 1996, the biggest shock is her dad: the vital, charming, forty-nine-year-old version of her father with whom she is reunited. Now armed with a new perspective on her own life and his, is there anything that she should do differently this time around? With her celebrated humor, insight, and heart, Emma Straub cleverly turns all the traditional time travel tropes on their head and delivers a different kind of love story - about the lifelong, reverberating relationship between a parent and child.
Emma Straub is author of four other novels including All Adults Here, as well as the short story collection Other People We Married. Her books have been published in twenty countries. She and her husband own Books Are Magic, an independent bookstore in Brooklyn.
Tickets include a copy of the book. Books will be distributed at the event. To avoid any missed communication, please make sure that Eventbrite is not blocked by your email system.
