About this event

Join visiting instructor Emily Martin for a workshop with a master craftsperson. Open to all levels of experience.

Students will learn the paper engineering for three different kinds of paper puppets: the flapping mouth, the jump-up and the walking zombie. A variety of techniques for making axles, spacers, flaps, and other movable parts will be explored. In addition, two simple puppets using common materials will be presented. Participants will be able to make models of all the forms and more individual puppets of their own.

Workshop will be held in a spacious classroom at Artworks. Masking is encouraged but not required.

The Artworks building is fully accessible. There is free parking onsite.
