Description

ABOUT THE CONCERT
Forty years of superb music making have earned the Emerson String Quartet an unparalleled list of achievements: nine Grammys, three Gramophone Awards, the Avery Fisher prize and collaborations with many of the greatest artists of our time. David Finckel joins his former colleagues in a performance of the sublime Schubert string quintet, honoring the memory of a longtime mentor and a great friend of the Library of Congress, violinist Robert Mann. “With musicians like these, there must be some hope for humanity.” (The Times, London)

This concert is presented under the auspices of the Robert Mann Fund for Chamber Music
