This event will bring together leaders from Indigenous Peoples, Local Communities, Afro-Descendant Peoples’ funds, and donor organizations to reflect on direct financing approaches. The discussion will refelct on the $1.7 billion COP26 Forest Tenure Pledge, exploring lessons learnt on how funding can reach communities more effectively, strengthen locally led outcomes, and highlight successful models of inclusive, accountable, and sustainable financing that advance community well-being and support tenure rights across ecosystems.
