Event description

Description

Join nationally-leading HVAC experts and Oregon and Washington cannabis leaders for in-depth dialogue and high-value networking on state-of- the-art solutions to address energy efficiency, cost savings, mold protection and code compliance in controlled cannabis cultivation environments. Learn how incorporating energy-efficient HVAC and dehumidification strategies can support your cultivation priorities and the environment. Hear about Energy Trust incentives that are available to lower the upfront costs of energy efficiency projects.

Speakers:
Keith Coursin, President, Desert Aire – “Bridging The HVAC Gap for Better Grow Rooms” – Communication gaps between cultivators, horticulture consultants and HVAC engineers complicate the abilities of the parties to get on the same page. Each group has a different glossary of terms and frame of reference that impacts the effective development of design elements for grow rooms. Keith Coursin will draw from his national experience as an HVAC
manufacturer, project planner and professional association leader to help attendees bridge the communication gap and move toward better HVAC designs – and harvests.

Brad Galpern, Johnson Barrow (distributor for Aaon and other leading manufacturers) – “How to integrate innovative HVAC and dehumidification approaches to meet code challenges while protecting your plants”

Kelsen Redding, Energy 350 (HVAC program administrator for Energy Trust) – “Learnings and challenges from regional grow operations, and how to maximize your utility incentive dollars”

Q&A session moderated by RII board member Jesce Horton
