Description

A short course on “Emerging Contaminants in Water and Wastewater” will be held October 24-25, 2017 at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Topics will span emerging contaminants related to surface water, drinking water and wastewater. Keynote speakers are Dana Kolpin from USGS and Vickie Wilson from the EPA. Information will be presented on new environmental challenges related to emerging contaminants, use of bioassays for understanding the effects of contaminants, considerations when designing nutrient removal improvements, and case studies related to drinking water, stormwater, and concentrated animal feed operations.
