About this event

The Emergency Preparedness & Response team in the Minneapolis Health Department is excited to invite staff from your organization to an Emergency Preparedness Workshop for Community Organizations!

This free event is a way for us to reconnect and renew our relationships after three years of community trauma, social upheaval, and pandemic isolation.

Lunch and networking opportunities will be provided.

Topics include:

  • Updates on the City's emergency preparedness work
  • Collaborative assessment of social connectedness and community functioning
  • Presentations on responding to active threats and living with ambiguity
  • Feedback sessions to hear about the experiences of community organizations during the pandemic

Please note that the intended audience for this event is representatives from community organizations.

Members of the general public who are interested in emergency preparedness can sign up for our Emergency Preparedness Collaborative newsletter to learn about other training opportunities.

What is the cost to attend?

There is no cost to attend the workshop. All fees, including food and beverages, are covered by grants received by the Minneapolis Health Department.

Is parking available?

Yes! East Side Neighborhood Services has a large parking lot with free parking and east building access. There is also street parking.

What if I don't drive?

Both directions of Metro Transit bus route 11 stop at the intersection where ESNS is located.
