'Embracing My Best Me' is an event dedicated to Sisterhood, Acceptance and the notion of EMBRACING not only your body but the bodies of women in your life. Embracing everything that it means to be a female in this world and also embracing the idea that you are your best- each and everyday.
The night will be filled with wonderful women, healthy treats, a screening of the incredibly empowering film by Taryn Brumfitt 'Embrace' and some suprises along the way!
We saw the film/documentary at a screening is Sale and were overcome with love for ourselves and our fellow women! We wanted to jump around and dance and sing just because we are women and we are GOOD ENOUGH!!!
This is the perfect opportunity to grab your best friends, daughters, sister-in-laws, mothers and revel in a night of kinship that will stay with you for a long time to come!
DOORS OPEN AT 6:30PM
**Please note that although we believe that every man and teen boy would benefit from this screening we have opted to make it exlusively for females because of the nature of the rest of the event....we might all want to do crazy women stuff afterwards and we are sure that they don't want to be involved in that!! Haha!!
**Also here is a link for parents who are wondering whether their daughter is old enough for the film. It is a very personal decision and we would prefer that each parent makes this choice without our influence and at their own discretion!
Proceeds from the night will be used to fund a free teen girls day retreat open to all girls aged between 12 and 17.
This event will be run in Heyfield early in 2017 and will see as many girls as possible participating in a day of workshops and wellbeing related activities.
The attendees will be divided into groups and will rotate between activities throughout the day.
These will include:
A teen specific 'Love Yourself' workshop fascilated by a fully trained Lousie Hay 'Heal Your Life' practitioner.
A life dreams and vision board creating session
A teen specific yoga and meditation session and
A wholefood demonstration learning to make healthy smoothies and snacks
WE ARE SOOO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!! Our teen girls need us to support them and help them find their own unque gifts and a love for life and we couldn't be happier about being able to offer this using the cost of your film ticket! xxx

Below is an excerpt from Taryn Brumfitts Body Image Movement website....
The culture of body loathing and body shaming had reached epic proportions worldwide.
Lose weight, reduce wrinkles, fight cellulite; we’re constantly told to fight a battle to be someone other than who we are. Women and girls are constantly lead to believe they’re not as good as they should be. And why? Because every day they feel they’re being judged on their appearance and how far away it is from an unachievable ideal.
At the Body Image Movement, we’re on a quest to redefine and rewrite the ideals of beauty. Our job is to harness and facilitate positive body image activism by encouraging women to be more accepting of who they are, to use positive language regarding their bodies and others, and to prioritise health before beauty. Our goal is to reach as many women as possible around the world and speak to them about how we can learn to fully embrace and love our bodies.
To get the word out there, Taryn Brumfitt, Founder of the Body Image Movement is filming Embrace the documentary. Embrace uncovers why poor body image has become a global epidemic and what women everywhere can do to have a brighter future.
A funny, touching, at times gut wrenching but above all, life changing documentary, the heart of Embrace is Taryn’s story. How she went from a body hater to a body lover. From being devastated by her perceived ugliness to proudly posing nude for the whole world to see.
WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU THERE!!!
Lots of Love Bec, Manda and Amy xxx
