"We often hear that what we are all seeking is a meaning for life. However, as embodied beings, might it be that is not what life’s pursuit is really all about? Perhaps what is being sought after is the experience of being alive, so that our lives on the physical plane of existence will have resonance within our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive. We are taught to try to be objective, rational creatures, to separate ourselves from the experience of life as we attempt to carry out the paradigm to be objective, to be rational, to observe life. To really be in touch with life, to have deep spiritual experiences, means to be in touch with the vibrancy, with the pulsating body that we live in." - Joseph Campbell
