Embodied Life Drawing
Overview
Embodied Life Drawing
Through a series of exercises’, you will explore ways in which to draw the body using your sensory and emotional experience. We will be queering your expectations of what drawing the body 'should' be, and instead explore with free movement, mark making and abstraction.
In order to deepen your understanding of life drawing, you are invited to expereince your body also as a model. You will be encouraged to express yourself in whatever fashion feels right for you on the day and consciously supported with how you share.
This class does not require any drawing or artistic experience; nudity will be supported if present but of course not mandatory for participation.
We do, however, require conscious and sensitive participation; therefore, we will include a briefing on etiquette at the start.
Please wear comfortable clothing. All materials provided. All bodies welcomed and supported.
