Event description

Description

Our bones are alive - they provide stability and support in everything we do. They are the amazing scaffolding of your body. This Embodied Anatomy experiential workshop will help you to:

  • Attain more embodiment in how you move
  • Refine your movements in dance or yoga
  • Be more actively involved in healing from injury or weakness
  • Gain embodied knowledge to share with your classes and clients
  • Refine your favorite athletic or sports activity
  • Access more stability in day-to-day activities

Our bones are alive. Halloween might persuade us otherwise, and book study of anatomy might not help bring them to life for us either, but our bones are busy inside us supporting our weight, healing from injury and generating our blood cells. Unlike the softer parts of us, bones thrive on stress. Forming a new relationship with our bones can help us overcome past trauma and give us a new lease on life. This experiential anatomy workshop is hands-on, full of movement, quiet and the sound of the human voice, which gets its resonance from bone. This is a great workshop if you are interested in learning what embodied anatomy is, or if you want to participate in your own healing from past injury or trauma. Join us for a day led by Erik Bendix, certified Teacher and Practitioner of Body-Mind Centering℠. Class size is limited.
