Event description

Description

22 January: Philanthropy New York will be the local host for our Dismantling Racism, Bias, and Inequity in Philanthropyworkshop. This will be a full-day session starting at 9:30 am.

23 January: The Embedding Equity Series engages management-level foundation professionals in a Community of Practice (CoP) focused on culture change and talent development. Participation in the CoP is at the organizational level. Its inaugural in-person convening for funders and funder networks will take place at the Ford Foundation (January 23). Registration for this session will be opened after the selection process in early December.

24 January: The InDEEP Peer Learning Exchange will also be held at Ford Foundation. Environmental Grantmakers’ Roles for Putting Communities of Color and Other Impacted Communities at the Forefront of the Environmental Field will amplify perspectives and skills needed to center the work of people of color in environmental strategy. A reception for PLE attendees will follow at a different location.

25 January: Doris Duke Charitable Foundation will host a meeting of People of Color and Indigenous Grantmakers starting at 10:00 am and ending at 2:00 pm. Building upon two previous convenings, this session is intended to help attendees forge personal and professional connections, discuss shared challenges and experiences, and build a strong network to sustain their involvement in environmental philanthropy.
