Teenagers Lenni and Kiira are in the early stages of a high school romance and discover that they are expecting a baby. Both are from single parent families who themselves struggle to make ends meet. The future is daunting but they are determined to stay together and make it work. Without a father of his own, Lenni seeks adult attention and guidance from an unlikely friend Janne, a member of a right wing group that has recently moved into Lenni’s diverse neighbourhood. Looking to release the pressure of fatherhood, Lenni begins to neglect Kiira and become more involved with Janne and his political activism. The influence of Janne and his right wing ideology puts Lenni and his friends at odds with some of the town’s immigrant population and they decide to take action of their own. Will these actions have long lasting consequences for Lenni or can he make the journey into adulthood and become the father he never had.
