Event description

Description

Community solar allows households to "plug in" to a local solar farm, providing them with a 10% discount and an easy way to support locally produced, renewable energy. Entire communities benefit as a result: local jobs are created, towns gain an extra source of tax revenue & everyday Americans can finally have a say on how they get their electricity.

Solstice is a non-profit dedicated to expanding equitable access to solar energy through community solar.

To help Elmira residents understand this innovative mechanism, Solstice is hosting an informational session on Tuesday, Dec. 5. The Creative Arts of Elmira has been generous enough to host this event.

Taro Gold (Head of Outreach) and Sean Hutton (Field Operations Manager) will give a presentation on community solar. Pizza will be served.

What We'll Cover:

1. Why so many people are locked out of rooftop solar: price + circumstance
2. How community solar solves these issues and makes solar easy
3. Is community solar right for your household?
4. Questions?

Limited spaces are available at this event. RSVP today to guarantee admission!
