Music for violin and piano, featuring the sonata in c minor Op. 30 #2 by Ludwig van Beethoven.


Ellie Kanayama currently studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin, majoring in violin performance under Prof. Mark Gothoni. She has received top prizes in competitions, including Youngarts, VOCE, Etude Club of Berkeley, American String Teacher Association, as well as concerto competitions with Fremont Symphony, and Young People’s Symphony Orchestra. Kanayama is also a recipient of the Jacqueline Freiger Music Scholarship, and plays on a violin on loan from the Chimei Museum of Taiwan. In the past years, she has studied with violinist Aaron Rosand at Summit Music Festival, participated in the Young Artists Program of Yellow Barn Music Festival, and was invited to join the NYO USA in 2017. This summer she participated in the St. Lawrence String Quartet Seminar at Stanford, Savonlinna Music Academy in Finland, and Sommerakademie Bad Leonfelden in Austria.
