Ellen Pao: Fighting for Inclusion in Silicon Valley
Event Information
Description
In 2015, Ellen K. Pao sued Kleiner Perkins, a powerhouse Silicon Valley venture capital firm, calling out workplace discrimination and retaliation against women and other underrepresented groups. Although she lost her suit, Pao won widespread public support – was hailed by Time as “the face of change” - and revolutionized the conversation within the tech industry and in the media.
She is a strong advocate against issues of gender bias and sexism in Silicon Valley, has led anti-harassment efforts at Reddit, and is the author of Reset: My Fight for Inclusion and Lasting Change. Pao is also co-founder of award-winning diversity and inclusion nonprofit Project Include.
Please join us for an inspiring conversation with Pao on rethinking diversity and inclusion within technology and Silicon Valley.
