Event description

Description

As a component of the First Lady of NYC Chirlane McCray's pioneering ThriveNYC Mental Health Initiative, The NYC Department of Veterans’ Services is hosting a free film screening and panel discussion of the A&E Network's film "Call Me Crazy."

This five part film depicts powerful relationships built on hope and triumph to help raise an understanding of what happens when families struggle with mental illness and the success of healing through love, togetherness, and strength.

As part of the film screening, we will provide participants with the opportunity to discuss their views and experience through a guided dialogue and open conversation about mental illness. Through this discussion, we hope that healing, understanding, and awareness about mental illness occurs.

You can receive information on free resources and services in your community and assistance for veterans, famliies, and caregivers.
