Event description

Description

Over the last three years Advance and KPMG Australia have helped over 25 Australian startups fast track their success in the US market through elevate61 a strategic alliance to give Australian startups the skills, access and networks to succeed in the world’s biggest tech market.

Join us as we celebrate and hear from our 2017 elevate61 cohort reflect on the US tour highlights, share their incredible tales, and how they're overcoming the challenges of international expansion. The event will also be an opportunity to meet some of the investors, customers and supporters who are making it possible for Australian startups to go global.

Guest Panellist: James Cameron, Partner AirTree Ventures
James recently relocated from London to Sydney to join AirTree Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in world-class Australian entrepreneurs building the exceptional companies of tomorrow. Prior to joining AirTree James was a vice-president at Accel, and a board observer at several of its fintech, cybersecurity and online marketplace portfolio companies.

Panel: 2017 elevate61 Program participants: Bookmarc, Scrmhub and Adepto
A key component of the elevate61 program is the US tour where participants visit the entrepreneurial hubs of Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. The US tour provides a first-hand experience to the US funding landscape, develops a startup’s ability to approach and sell to enterprise buyers, as well as build extensive networks of potential advisors, clients and investors. Discover lessons learnt from three program participants who have their eyes firmly locked on international expansion.
