Description

Join us for the first event of Sunnyvale's 2017 Sustainability Speaker Series!

With carbon-free electricity coming to Sunnyvale, switching to electricity instead of natural gas - a fossil fuel - for major heating appliances can save money and protect the climate. Pierre Delforge of the Natural Resources Defense Council will share why and how to convert to electric heat pumps for water and space heating in homes and businesses.

Refreshments served starting at 6:30 p.m. Event commences at 7:00 p.m.

Pierre Delforge is the Director of Energy Efficiency in the High Tech Sector at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where his work focuses on policies to accelerate the deep decarbonization of buildings, from electronics and plug loads to space and water heating solutions.

Free event sponsored by: City of Sunnyvale and Sunnyvale Sustainability Commission
