Event description

Description

The fundamental principles of electricity are important to grasp for everyone who works with it. Electricity and electrical devices are an integral part of modern life, and technicians who understand power and wiring are in demand in theater, film, museums, outdoor live concerts, and more. Whether building a drop box with solenoids, building practicals, working with automation, or doing almost any lighting project, the ideas and basic skills at work build upon a common base of knowledge.

In this workshop, Lighting Technician Paul Epton and Guthrie Staff Lighting Programmer Angelina Vyushkova teach the core skills and concepts of working with electricity and electrical equipment for the stage.
