About this event
Currituck County 4-H is hosting a field trip to the OBX on Monday April 18, 2022 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm for youth ages 10 and up. The main focus of this field trip is renewable energy. There will be two different destinations. The first one being at the Coastal Studies Institute located in Wanchese NC. There they will learn about wave energy and learn about a program that their staff is working on at Jennette’s pier called Waves to Water. The second destination for this field trip will be at Jennette’s pier. There the participants will learn about wind energy. They will make a model of a wind turbine, and get to test it to see how it functions. Participants will need to bring a bag lunch.
Once you have completed the eventbrite registration please visit this link https://v2.4honline.com and complete the 4-H online registration. This will register your child in 4-H for the year.
