Elections and Civil Society: What does this mean for International Developm...
Event Information
Description
2012 is a year of elections. There are 193 countries in the world and a third of the world's nations will be holding national elections this year. The sheer number of elections has the potential to bring great political change, change that is especially important for members of international civil society. Therefore, MINN would like to explore what elections mean for international development.
Join us as MINN discusses elections and civil society to investigate what impact national elections can have on international development programs. It is a wonderful topic which covers both elections and development work, including elections in Asia, Africa, and South & North America. MINN events are a great way to meet new people and make connections in the non-profit world, and can help with seeking a career change, developing your existing career or enhancing your social and professional circle.
Free parking is available at the library.
