Description

Are you ready to shift into high gear with the implementation of the new ELD Standards? This workshop is for educators who have basic understanding of the New ELD Standards and ELA/ELD Framework, and want to become much more familiar with the content and structure of each document in order to effectively implement the standards in their classrooms, school, and district.

Participants will:

  • Review and evaluate mini lessons aligned with the New ELD Standards

  • Explore how to best teach Part II of the New ELD Standards by viewing sample mini lessons and creating their own

  • Learn best practices in teaching grammar and deepen their understanding of the grammatical structures English Learner need to master in order to communicate effectively

  • Vet online tools to support language development and identify tools that they could use with their students

Audience: K-12 Teachers, Coaches and Administrators

Registration begins at 8:30 am -- Workshop begins prompty at 9:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm
