Event Details

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS: 

·     Must be 15 years old or older to volunteer alone

·     Volunteers between 8-14 years old must be accompanied by an adult (1 to 1 ratio) and will serve as Fans in the Stands to cheer our athletes on!!

·     PHOTO ID is REQUIRED AT REGISTRATION!

 

VOLUNTEER ROLES & EXPECTATIONS: 

·     Assist athletes and coaches

 

VOLUNTEER SERVICE HOURS: 

·     For those needing confirmation of service hours, at the completion of your volunteer shift you may report back to volunteer registration for signatures or confirmation forms. 

 

WHAT TO WEAR / BRING:  

·     Swim suit

·     Change of clothes

·     Water bottle to stay hydrated 

·     Photo ID

 

PARKING: 

·     General parking is available at the venue. We ask the Volunteers park fartherst away from the building as to allow for families and athletes to park closer. 

  

WHERE TO GO WHEN YOU ARRIVE: 

·     Report to Volunteer Registration-Sign In

The mission of Special Olympics Texas is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
