Throughout 2011, El Coto de Rioja—Spain’s favorite Rioja wines—will team up with restaurants across the United States in celebration of some of life’s simplest pleasures: eating and drinking. Restaurants will offer sample portions of their signature rice dishes to Spanish food aficionados in four cities—Miami, New York City, Chicago and Seattle. Festivities will begin as soon as participating chefs finish cooking up their paellas. Blanco, Rosado and Crianza wines from El Coto de Rioja will flow all night, and music exuding the best Spain has to offer, will create the feeling of being in the heart of Valencia, Spain, home of the Paella.
Mueloliva Olive Oil from Spain, Pilar Saffron and DeChoix Piquillo peppers will contribute to the delectable tastes of each Paella, and local culinary students will contribute their time in helping each chef dish out the many portions expected each night. Making it even more traditional, each paella will be prepared in original pans provided by PaellaPans.com.
10% of net ticket sales ($3.50/single ticket or $6.00 per couple’s tickets) will benefit Action Against Hunger, an international humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger.
