About East Harlem Preservation

East Harlem Preservation, Inc. (EHP) is a volunteer-driven advocacy organization founded in 2005 to promote and preserve the neighborhood’s history and diversity. EHP seeks to empower underserved low-income, and working families in East Harlem/El Barrio and surrounding areas by providing free and unfiltered local news and information about local programs and upcoming events through our popular social media accounts, website, and monthly newsletter.

EHP is led by community activists, educators, and artists who live and/or work in East Harlem and been involved in many local issues. Our website and social media resources are available to residents and community partners as free platforms for self- and collective expression and empowerment. Only with the support of caring individuals like you can this important work continue.

East Harlem Preservation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization; contributions are deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
