Devil’s Club Brewing and Forbidden Peak Brewery are stoked to welcome back Egan is Lava: A to Beer Fun Half-Marathon!

ABOUT: This easy-going half marathon welcomes all ages, abilities, and human-powered transportation! Run, walk, bike, rollerblade, skateboard, kayak, unicycle, scooter, pogo stick – you get the idea. As long as your body powers it, it’s fair game!

COURSE ROUTE: The Course Route is from one taproom to the other, in any direction you choose – begin at Devil’s Club Brewing and end at Forbidden Peak Brewery, or start at Forbidden Peak and end at Devil’s Club! There is not a designated course (you choose your favorite route), except that EGAN IS LAVA! Don’t track your route on Egan Highway at any point. Don’t touch it, don’t even think about it. Use Old Glacier Highway, or your best neighborhood work around. Crosswalks are safe (crossing Egan is safe).

DATES & PRIZES: Complete your half-marathon anytime between Friday, July 15 and Sunday July 24. We encourage you to get a group of family, friends, and neighbors and participate together. To add to the fun and creative nature of this event, we will be offering the following trophies for the individual or team that best represents the following categories:

- Longest Route

- Most Creative Transportation Method

- Best Group Costume

- Most Methods of Transportation

To earn a trophy, upload a photo (or screenshot of your route) to Instagram or Facebook and use the Hashtag #EganIsLava. An extremely experienced and non-partisan committee will select the winners. Each winning category will receive a one-of-a-kind Egan is Lava Trophy!

NEW AND EXCITING: One lucky participant will be randomly selected from the roster and receive a bike package valued up to $900!
