About this event
Put your walking shoes on and head out on the trail to experience the EGAD Outdoor Art Museum. One of our expert guides will take you through the heart of the district to see the murals, learn about the artists and their varying styles and more. There are over 30 murals in EGAD, so not all murals are on the one hour tour.
DETAILS:
- Regular Mural Tours are scheduled on every THIRD Saturday morning from 10:15-a.m.
- Tours are available for one person (adults, children w/ adults, groups).
- A portion of the proceeds from the tours will be used to fund future murals.
- Tours will start and finish at the Eau Gallie Library on 1521 Pineapple Avenue.
- Wear comfortable shoes as this involves walking on uneven surfaces up several blocks.
- Reservations are required.
- Bicycles are acceptable, too.
- If tour is cancelled for rain, you will receive a full refund and you will be notified by 8 a.m. the day of the tour. Reasons for cancellation--bad weather forecast tour day, or other unforeseen reason.
COST:
Adults: $12 for adults
Kids: $ 5 for children ages 12 and up (Children under six are not advised unless they are in strollers)
Groups: of at least 16 receive a discount and may select an alternate time slot, if a guide can be available.

About the organizer
Eau Gallie Arts District Main Street is an historic neighborhood nestled between the Indian River and the railroad in the former Eau Gallie, FL, now Melbourne, FL. The main street mission is to redevelop the historic commercial village of Eau Gallie and, boy, are we killing it.
Established in 1860, EGAD housed the original building that was to become the University of Florida. A recipient of a Florida Humanities grant that allows us to participate in the state managed audio historic walking tour, FLORIDA STORIES, download it from your smart phone and take the tour walking/rolling or at home on your phone or television.
Home to several art galleries, shops, a microbrewery and restaurants, the arts district was established in 2010 and went from 40% vacant to standing room only. With an outdoor public arts program that boasts >30 murals and sculpture in public places, EGAD has a lovely public square with a band shell and very old live oak trees.
Standing events include Whiskey in the District (Feb), Women We Love (Mar), Tacos in the District (Jul), and others' events -- Space Coast Pride, Rocky Water Brewfest, and Space Coast Music Festival.
EGAD has an Airbnb provider within the district that offers about a dozen properties--Uncle Scotty's Community Bed & Breakfast.
