Effortless Freelancing in Games
Event Information
Description
Join Akash Thakkar and IGDA Seattle at Against Gravity for our April 2018 speaker event!
In this talk, we'll break down how people in the game industry can freelance more effectively. On top of teaching freelancers how they can increase their rates, find better clients, and save time, we will also be talking about WHY our tactics and tools work from a neuroscience angle. This talk will apply to all disciplines and experience levels.
Akash Thakkar is an award-winning composer, sound designer, and public speaker within the video game industry. Akash graduated from the Berklee College of Music where he was both an instructor and leader of the game audio community, and created the sound design for Hyper Light Drifter, a Steam #1 best-seller. He has given over 50 talks at various conferences around the world, including the Game Developer's Conference, TEDx, PAX, Game Connect Asia Pacific, and many others.
