Effective Communication Strategies for Caregivers - Alzheimer's Association

What is the goal of this workshop?  Individuals living with dementia often experience changes in behavior that can be confusing to friends and family. For caregivers, learning to decode messages through attitude, tone of voice, facial expressions and body language can help both parties to connect and communicate in meaningful ways. If you are interested in learning to identify communication changes that happen due to Alzheimers and in identifying new strategies to help connect and communicate at each stage of the disease, this workshop is for you! November is National Family Caregiver month. In celebration, the Alzheimers Association of Montana is joining us to present in Missoula. We hope you can join us! Being a caregiver doesn't come with an instruction manual, and the Alzheimer's Association, along with Missoula Aging Services offer this workshop as a resource available to help.

Who facilitates the workshop?  Lynn Mullowney Cabrera, Executive Director of Alzheimer's Association - MT Chapter. Lynn can be reached at 406.252.3053 x 8125 or lmullowney@alz.org . Learn more about Lynn by clicking on the video below:
