Thursday, March 8 – Sunday, March 11: The UU Players of the First Unitarian Church of Cleveland perform Edward Albee’s “Me, Myself and I” at 21600 Shaker Blvd, Shaker Heights, Ohio. Show times are Thursday through Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. “Me, Myself & I” is a stunning and challenging piece of theatrical literature. On the surface, it is a very funny story of a pair of twin brothers and their family, but on a deeper level the play examines key themes that have become central to Albee’s work: the idealization of the absent parent; the way we construct our families; and the fine line between imagination and reality. The play showcases Albee’s unique brand of irony and sardonic, wry humor, while at the same time challenging and stimulating the audience. Come and experience the verbal vertigo of this laugh-out-loud farce.
