Event description

Description

The rapid progress of technology will require that students learn how to learn and that employees use this skill to retrain several times in their careers to stay ahead of automation.

Reflecting on the above, several questions come to my mind:

  1. Is our current basic educational model of pre-school, school and university education meeting the demands of the future of work?
  2. Do we have to learn differently (i.e. is there a need for change in the delivery method) and/or do we need to learn different things (i.e. do we need to change the curriculum)?
  3. Do we need to embark on a lifelong learning journey once we leave school/university? And if yes, how to do and how can society, government and business support it?
  4. How to pay for it? The accelerating speed of change reduces the half-life of knowledge, skills and abilities and excellent education may become less accessible and affordable?

Come and join us to share your thoughts and whether you see the need for change and what to do about it. Discuss pros and cons of the ideas and opinions presented by all participants and raise your awareness on the topic that impacts us a students, parents, employers and members of our communities as well as the society as a whole.
