Last year, more than 900 education stakeholders joined the Philadelphia Education Fund in a series of dialogues on public education in the region.

This Fall, the Philadelphia Education Fund invites the region’s corporate and civic leaders to add to the dialogue through Educate Philly, a conversation on public education.

Educate Philly is a three-part author series that kicks off on Friday, September 8th with the official launch of best-selling author David Osborne’s new book, Reinventing America’s Schools.

The book is being described as:

“…a biting analysis of the failure of America's public schools and a comprehensive plan for revitalizing American education.”

Taking a page from his best-seller, Reinventing Government, David applies research, disrupts convention, and challenges his reader to consider what lessons our traditional systems might learn from education innovators.

The author will be joined by an esteemed panel, including:

Dwight Evans, Congressman, US House of Representative

Bill Hite, Philadelphia Superintendent

Paymon Rouhanifard, Camden City School District Superintendent

Quibila Divine of The EARTHS and PARENT POWER.

If you believe in the virtues of a public education AND are willing to be challenged – join us for breakfast this Friday, September 8th for a compelling conversation on public education.

This event is being produced in partnership with the Progressive Policy Institute (PPI).
