We are thrilled to announce that we will be working with Edmonton Arts Council, Alberta Foundation for the Arts, and Edmonton Community Foundation three of Edmonton's major arts funders. This is your chance to show what you have done with the data! Each team will present the analytics and visualizations prepared during the Datathon. This is also an opportunity for community members to see the work from the weekend and gain insights into Edmonton's arts community.
Other items of note for the weekend:
Each participant should bring their own laptop and software for data analytics / visualization. If you require access to commercial or other specialized applications please let us know in advance.
We do not assign you to a team. We want you to work with the data and objectives that you feel most passionate about, so come Friday with an open mind and be ready to learn.
You do not have to work with the same team for the whole weekend. Again, we hope that you will find a project to work on to completion, but if at any point you feel like you want to change simply let us know.
You do not have to stay for the entire weekend to participate in the event. We hope that you will find a project you can dig into, but you are always welcome to come and go as you please.
Accessing the Foundation can be tricky! The address is 9910 103 St, but you access the building through the alley, south of 100 Ave, between 103 and 104 street. Do not go down the hill on 103 St!
