DCAM™ is the documentation of the capabilities and best practices required to establish a sustainable data management program. The model was created based on the collective experience of data practitioners across the global financial information industry. It focuses on the practical capabilities needed to ensure trust and confidence in data content as a factor of input into business processes. This applied training will help members integrate the principles and components of DCAM into internal operations.
Applied Training is a two-day program providing students with practical advice on how to conduct a structured assessment or audit using DCAM. Students who complete the Applied course will understand the scoring methodology and the dependencies across capability areas. Successful completion of DCAM Foundations is a prerequisite.
DCAM Applied training will be co-led by John Bottega (author of DCAM and the financial industry's first Chief Data Officer) and Michael Atkin (Managing Director of the EDM Council).
