About this event

Join us for a very special event at the Historic Bolling Wilson Hotel on October 15, 6:00 pm for The Edith Bolling Wilson 150th Birthday Celebration. Speaker at the Italian-themed dinner will be Rebecca Roberts, an award-winning author whose newest book is entitled Untold Power. This biography of Edith Bolling Wilson will be published by Viking in 2023.

Rebecca, the daughter of Cokie and Steve Roberts, has served as a journalist, producer, forensic anthropologist, political consultant, and radio talk show host. Currently she is the Curator of Programming at Planet Word and serves on the boards of the National Archives Foundation and the Women’s Leadership Committee of the Trust for the National Mall. She is also on the Editorial Advisory Committee of the White House Historical Association.

Other special guests at the dinner include “Edith” portrayed by Betsy Ely and Thom Moore as Ettore Boirdi who eventually became famous as Chef Boyardee. Early in his career, Ettore Biordi catered Woodrow’s and Edith’s wedding reception. The evening promises to be a night of fun, festivities, and a culinary delight!
