Join us for our Eat Drink Disrupt (EDD) Talks Lunch & Learn, a free 75 minute transofmrative experience where medicine, culture and food come together to advance optimal wellness and equity in communities that need it most.

ABOUT CARDIOLOGIST-COLUMBUS BATISTE, MD, FACC, FSCAI

Co-founder of Healthy Heart Nation, author of Selfish: A Cardiologist’s Guide to Healing a Broken Heart, TEDx speaker and co-creator of the acclaimed Slave Food Project, Dr. Batiste is also the driving force behind the annual HELP Conference (Health Equity and Lifestyle Project), which equips HBCU students, community leaders and health professionals with tools to advance equity and reverse disease in underserved communities.

As Regional Chief of Cardiology for Southern California at Kaiser Permanente, he pioneered the Integrative Cardiovascular Disease Program and continues to lead with a focus on prevention, equity and lifestyle medicine.

Dr. Batiste EDD Talks presentaiton will center on the power of being Self-ish, choosing to put your health first as an act of restoration and longevity, while highlighting the benefits of a whole food, plant-based lifestyle in the prevention, arrest and reversal of our top chronic diseases. Following, Dr. Batiste will address questions during the Q&A period.

Attendees will also receive wellness resources from Power is Giving and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM).
