Be more! Taking charge of your own professional development and learning Edcamps are made by educators for educators. Join us for a day of learning, networking and fun as you take a day to . . .be more!
The day will begin with a light breakfast and networking. Start thinking about a session that you'd like to add on the schedule. Don't worry about being prepared with a presentation, come with a topic for discussion or a question that has been burning. After we kick off, we'll start our sessions. The law of two feet applies all day. If you are in one session, and would like to move to a different one, please do! After lunch and additional sessions, we'll have time to share our favorite Web 2.0 tools and give away from great prizes for our sponsors. We'll end the day at a local pub to relax and unwind after a great day of learning.
Proposed schedule for the day:
- 8-8:30 Breakfast/Registration
- 8:30-9:45 Session Planning/Networking
- 9:45-9:55 Kick-Off
- 10-10:55 Session 1
- 11-11:55 Session 2
- 12-1:25 Lunch
- 1:30-2:25 Session 3
- 2:30-3:25 Session 4
- 3:30-4:00 Closing
What can/can't I bring to the event?
The location will have wireless access so be sure to bring your favorite device. Please note though that because we're in a school district you will not have access to YouTube. Be safe! Download any of your favorite videos that you might want to share before coming to the event.
Other than that bring an open mind, a smile . . .and a FRIEND! Edcamp Baltimore is a great place for educators to meet, share and learn together.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can reach the event organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org or via Twitter @edcampbmore
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
While we will have a particpant list, it is always helpful to have your ticket. It does not need to be printed though, an electronic version is fine.
