Event description

Description

This course is intended to introduce the idea of incorporating the use of a handheld high output light into the shooting problem. An emphasis will be placed on maintaining a high level of accuracy while exercising sound gun handling techniques with the light in play. Attendees will leave the class with a better understanding of how to effectively employ a high output handheld light.

Students should have a base level of skill before attending this course. They should know how to load, unload, and reload their firearm safely. They should also have a basic grasp of fundamental shooting techniques.

To attend the class students will need the following items:

A quality, reliable firearm with at least 3 magazines or 4 speedloaders for revolvers.

A safe, quality holster (contact us if you have questions about what this is).

A handheld tactical type flashlight. Weapon mounted lights are allowed, but a handheld light is necessary for certain techniques.

500 rounds of quality ammunition (Let us know if you need help sourcing ammunition).

All the usual PPE for the range. Eye protection (not sunglasses), ear protection, a hat, and weather appropriate clothing.

A folding/camp chair, snacks, and water, gatorade, etc. are also recommended.
