Ed Sheeran CONCERT SCHEDULE

Talk about meteoric success. Ed Sheeran was barely into his 20s and already headlining sold-out shows at New York’s hallowed Madison Square Garden; a guitar-toting, mop-haired millennial whose debut album, the succinctly titled +, was well on its way to earning multi-platinum status. The Grammy Award-winning artist behind such pop hits as “The A Team,” “Thinking Out Loud,” “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill” is renown for his live shows. Whether he's performing alongside Taylor Swift or rocking out at the Grammys, Ed Sheeran tickets are always in demand, as evidenced by the Best Live Act and Best World Stage Performance honors he took home at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2015. That same year, Sheeran opened for The Rolling Stones on their Zip Code Tour in Kansas City, Mo., and performed sold-out shows at London's Wembley Stadium. The singer-songwriter will end a year-long hiatus with a sweeping 2017 world tour, including highly anticipated stops in Europe, the U.K., Ireland, and North and South America.

Ed Sheeran BACKGROUND

You might say Ed Sheeran’s musical dreams began with a plane ticket. In April 2010, he boarded a flight from the U.K. to L.A., with no contacts other than a solitary poetry night gig. But the future pop icon was spotted at an open-mic night by actor-singer Jamie Foxx, who helped the young singer-songwriter record his first demos. Sheeran’s debut single, 2011’s The A Team, became a Top-10 hit in Australia, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, the Netherlands and the U.K. A sleeper hit in the U.S., the song rose to No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earnEd Sheeran his first Grammy nomination. “The A Team” has sold more than two million copies in the U.S. alone. In 2012, he won Brit Awards for Best Male Solo Artist and Breakthrough Act.

Sheeran has resided atop the music charts ever since. His sophomore effort, 2014’s x, rose to No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S., and snared the Brit Award for Album of the Year, while the first two singles from his 2017 album ÷, “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill,” broke sales records in the U.K., Australia and Germany, and Sheeran became the first artist to have two songs debut in the U.S. Top 10.
