About Ed Gerhard
From Tokyo to Rome and venues across the US, Ed Gerhard's music has touched audiences all over the world. Performing on 6-string, 12-string, slide guitar or Acoustic Hawaiian Lap Slide, Gerhard captivates his audiences with virtuosity, generosity and sly humor. Known for his gorgeous tone and compositional depth, Gerhard can move a listener with a single note. Scott Alalrik of the Boston Globe said it best when he wrote 'Gerhard does not write instrumentals. He writes songs only a guitar can sing.

Ed’s latest CD "There and Gone" is a mix of unique and original compositions and compelling covers. Mostly solo guitar with occasional overdubs of bass, Weissenborn guitar, lap steel and additional acoustic guitars. Covers include "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," "Imagine/Across The Universe," "Killing the Blues" and a fresh take on Leo Kottke's lovely "Three Quarter North." For the Weissenborn fans who've asked; yes, there are a couple of Weissenborn tunes on there and they were a lot of fun to do. "Rye Whiskey Mash" has about the loosest timing I've ever heard, and I got to use a bunch of old and new Weissenborns on it. A drunken chorus of Weissenborns, what's better than that? Parking Information

There is no on-site parking at the Mansion. However the HPA River Street Parking Garage and HPA Walnut Street Parking Garage (Strawberry Square deck) are easy to find and are very close. Restaurants between these garages and the building make for great places to stop before and/or after the show.
