ECRINS Programme. Early Career Researchers providing Industrial Solutions
Wed, May 10, 2017, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM BST
This career development programme will give you, as an early career researcher, the opportunity to enhance your capabilities for addressing industrial challenges through your research expertise. It does this through supporting you to build solutions to real challenges. You may bring your own solution with you, for development, or you may come with no ideas but a desire to understand the industrial application of your research better.
The initial half day workshop will guide participants through the process of coming up with and developing solutions to industrial problems from an interdisciplinary perspective. Participants will form groups with complementary skills in order to develop proposals.
Participants will submit an expression of interest to carry out a feasibility study into their proposed solution. Successful applicants will receive funding and expert support to carry out their studies and, depending on the outcome of the feasibility studies, some projects may be eligible for further funding.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
Please note that, should your proposal be selected for support, you will be required to spend some time on non-core activities. For this reason permission will be sought from your supervisor, prior to your acceptance on the course.
