About this event
Race to Recovery is a dynamic interactive event convening diverse leaders from across the nation to articulate, discuss and emerge potential solutions to address systemic racism and inequities in the sectors of entrepreneurship and economic development - particularly as they have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This event will:
INFORM | We will kick off the day by exploring the realities and implications of structural and systemic racism and engage in small group conversations around the issues of Access, Belonging, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (ABIDE).
INSPIRE | The event continues as we uplift and amplify voices from the frontline. Entrepreneurial ecosystem builders and community leaders of color will share authentic experiences from their local communities and engage in an inspiring fishbowl discussion where listening, rather than responding, to the voices of these leaders is central.
IDEATE | We will wrap with a challenge - combining our collective knowledge and inspiration into action. We'll break up into working groups to ideate on potential solutions that we can all implement to catalyze change in our local communities. We’ll also explore ways we can keep the conversation going and continue the work together.
