Description

Getting to the bottom of what's going on in the Bay

Narragansett Bay fishermen are raising concerns about recent changes in the Bay ecosystem. Despite major efforts to clean up the Bay in recent decades, some fishermen are seeing signs that things are moving in the wrong direction. At this workshop, we will exchange observations with Jason McNamee (RIDEM Marine Fisheries), Angelo Liberti (RIDEM Water Quality), and Amy MacKown (Commercial Fisheries Center of RI), in the hopes of furthering a dialogue between fisheries, managers, and researchers about these changes and how to address them.

Audience: Members of RI's commercial wild-harvest fishing and seafood industry.

RSVP? Not necessary, but it helps!
