Event description

Description

In partnership with the Florida Regional Councils Association (FRCA), Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and federal partners, the U.S. Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration (EDA) is hosting "Economic Resiliency & Recovery from Hurricane Irma” workshops in February 2018.

The workshops will emphasize best practices and resources for economic recovery specifically for your county. They will also help community leaders to learn more about how to prioritize actions for short and long-term recovery. Federal, state and IEDC officials will also present information about state, federal and private sector resources that are available to assist. The interactive workshop will provide participants with practical tools and inspiring examples to support critical economic recovery and long-term resiliency activities.

A business continuity training for business leaders will be included in this workshop from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. In this workshop you'll have a chance to connect with experts at SBDC and fellow business leaders, hear about the essentials of business continuity, and learn about the various types of support that is available for businesses in the area.
