COURSE DESCRIPTION

Michael Gregory, Deputy Chief Economist and Head of U.S. Economics for BMO Capital Markets, will provide an overview of the U.S. and local economies as well as the forecast for 2020 and beyond. Attendees will also hear about some key economic considerations for the New Year. CBIZ tax expert, Mary Jo Zuelsdorf, will take a closer look at some sales tax developments of which not-for-profits should be aware.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the current state of both the U.S. and local economy as well as the economic forecast for 2020;
  • Determine the overall impact of the economy on not-for-profits in 2020 and beyond and evaluate and plan for this impact;
  • Identify sales tax developments resulting from the fallout from the 2018 Supreme Court decision in Wayfair v. South Dakota.
