Beyond the Boardroom: Corporate Leadership and Community Engagement
The leadership and support that fosters community development and economic success in the 7 Rivers Region goes well beyond the walls of corporate boardrooms. At the Spring 2017 Economic Indicators event, hosted by the UW-La Crosse College of Business Administration, Dr. TJ Brooks, Economics Department Chair at UWL, will offer his current insights and perspectives on the region’s local economy and the role of philanthropy in community development. A guest panel of business leaders from the region will discuss the civic engagement opportunities and responsibilities they have taken in their communities. The panel will include:
- Sue Christopherson, Principal and President Emeritus at Fowler & Hammer
- Dave Skogen, Board Chair at Festival Foods
- Matt McPherson, CEO at Mathews Archery, Inc.
Breakfast will be served at 7:00 a.m. The program will begin promptly at 7:20 a.m. and will end at 9:00 a.m. Location will be "The Bluffs" in the new Student Union at 521 East Avenue North on the UW-La Crosse campus. Two ticket prices are offered to provide parking options (see ticket descriptions for details). The registration deadline is Tuesday, March 21. Seating is limited.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The new event location is conveniently surrounded with a number of parking options, including the parking ramp on Farwell Street (floors 1-3 only) and the commuter "C" surface lots – all requiring pre-payment at payment stations. Those who wish to park on campus will be subject to all UWL parking restrictions. Two types of event tickets are being offered this year - one with and one without parking included. See ticket descriptions for details.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
With questions, please contact the UWL Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (608) 785-8648.
