Simon J. Anderson – Co-Author Foresight 20/20, futurist, speaker, startup entrepreneur, change-management and emerging technology consultant. Founder of Futur1st.com, an online site dedicated to helping business leaders adapt to and embrace emerging technology. Having traveled to 20 countries, Anderson brings a global perspective to his work. A former Director & Idea Mentor for Adobe Systems, Bess developed an innovation program ecosystem delivered across worldwide offices to foster innovation for new products, growth business models and product marketing. Rick will share his vision regarding how innovation education, community, and investment capital can transform our region.
Online Vision Campaign & Lunchtime Panel
EconNSBC Innovation Initiative – This team directed by Rick Bess is organizing an online “Vision Idea Campaign” to stimulate online submission & collaboration on ideas related to the regional future for Northern Santa Barbara County. EconNSBC is calling for participation from leaders in business and industry, education, government, nonprofits, and the community at large. The Idea Campaign website will include categories corresponding to EconNSBC initiatives and break-out sessions scheduled at the Futures Forum event. Top ideas will be contrasted at a lunchtime panel discussion.
