Event description

Description

This hydroponic farm located in Brightmoor allows Artesian Farm to harvest year-round, producing 1,200 pounds of vegetables every 21 days. Growing kale, spinach, mixed greens, and basil, Artesian Farms sells to Northwest Detroit Farmers Market, The Henry Ford Museum, and Republic. Founder of Artesian Farm, Jeff Adams, expanded his farm, nearly tripling the size of his growing space, this year with a motor city match grant. Join us for an tour of the converted warehouse farm to experience this innovative space and food production system.

Eco-Eating Tours help support VEJ’s mission and programs through ticket sales (which also help cover the costs of the tour itself). Please email bt@voices4earth.org if you would like to join us, but you feel you are unable to buy a ticket.
